Before we arrive, these steps can limit damage. Don't worry about diagnosing the problem — that's our job.
- Shut off the water supply
Find the main shutoff valve — usually near your water meter or where the main line enters the house. Turn it clockwise to close. - Move valuables away from standing water
Move electronics, rugs, and furniture quickly. Don't enter water near electrical outlets. - Don't use any drains or toilets
